Xprinter XP-420B – 4-Inch USB Direct Thermal Label Printer

Product Description

The Xprinter XP-420B is a compact 4-inch direct thermal label printer designed for barcode labels, product labels, shipping labels, inventory labels and other thermal printing applications. It provides 203 DPI resolution, printing speeds of up to 152 mm/s, and a maximum print width of 108 mm.

The XP-420B features a space-saving body with a large paper-loading container, a double-walled clamshell design and simple operation through a multifunction button and two-color indicator. Xprinter also incorporates an intelligent printhead temperature control system for stable printing performance.

203 DPI Direct Thermal Printing

The XP-420B uses direct thermal printing technology at 203 DPI (8 dots/mm). Direct thermal printing does not require ink or toner, making it suitable for regular barcode and label printing.

High-Speed Label Printing

The printer provides a maximum print speed of 152 mm/s (6 inches per second), allowing fast production of labels for retail, logistics, warehousing, shipping and inventory applications.

4-Inch Printing Width

The XP-420B supports a maximum print width of 108 mm (4.25 inches) and a maximum print length of 1778 mm, making it suitable for common product, barcode and shipping label sizes.

USB 2.0 Connectivity

This configuration uses USB 2.0 as the connection interface for connecting the printer to a computer or workstation. LAN, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not included in this USB-only configuration. Xprinter identifies USB 2.0 as the standard interface.

Multiple Media Types

The XP-420B supports continuous, gap, black mark, fan-fold and punched-hole media. The official specification lists media widths from 20 mm to 115 mm, media thickness from 0.06 mm to 0.25 mm, and media lengths from 10 mm to 1778 mm.

1D and 2D Barcode Support

The printer supports a wide selection of barcode formats, including Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, EAN, UPC, GS1 DataBar, PDF417, Maxicode, DataMatrix, QR Code and Aztec.

Multiple Printer Emulations

The XP-420B supports TSPL, EPL, ZPL and DPL printer languages, allowing it to work with different barcode-label printing applications and workflows.

Memory and Processing

The printer is equipped with 8 MB Flash Memory and 8 MB SDRAM, with Flash memory expandable up to 4 GB through a Micro SD card reader. It uses a 32-bit RISC CPU for printer processing.

Intelligent Printhead Temperature Control

The built-in printhead temperature intelligent control system helps maintain stable printer output during operation.

Compact Clamshell Design

The XP-420B has a compact 215 × 178 × 155 mm design with a large paper-loading container. Its double-walled clamshell construction allows convenient access when loading label media.
